WHLA Advocacy Fund
The WHLA Advocacy Fund exists to:
- Educate: Educate members and the public on important issues that impact the lodging community in the state.
- Advocate: Fight for legislation and regulations that are favorable to the state lodging industry. To the extent allowed under state law, this may include contributions to party committees and political parties.
- Legal Action: Influence the creation of significant legal precedents and advocate for critical issues within the state's judicial branch. This may include filing and defending lawsuits and filing amicus briefs on behalf of the industry.
- Research: Fund studies that will assist in advocating for Wisconsin’s lodging industry. Examples could include alternatives/effectiveness of Wisconsin’s Room Tax, effects of schools starting earlier in the summer, etc.
