Members of Wisconsin Women in Lodging (WWIL) came together from across the state on May 27–28, 2025, for a refreshing and inspiring Nine & Wine Retreat at Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells.

We are thrilled to unveil the theme for the 2025 Wisconsin Lodging Conference & Trade Show: "Blueprint for the Future: Adapting, Building, Thriving." This theme encapsulates the spirit of growth and resilience that defines Wisconsin’s lodging industry.

Yesterday, WHLA's President & CEO, Bill Elliott, testified to the Wisconsin Senate Committee on Utilities & Tourism in support of a bipartisan bill that would create a film office under the Wisconsin Department of Tourism, along with $10 million in annual tax credits to encourage the production of movies and tv shows in the state.

The Wisconsin Hotel & Lodging Association is now accepting nominations for the 2025 Associate of the Year Award—an annual recognition presented to a WHLA vendor or associate member who goes above and beyond to support Wisconsin’s hospitality industry.

This week, WHLA is proud to have a strong delegation representing Wisconsin at American Hotel & Lodging Association’s (AHLA) Hotels on the Hill in Washington, D.C., held May 13–14, 2025.

This premier advocacy event provides hospitality professionals with a valuable platform to meet with members of Congress, discuss pressing industry issues, and learn how to effectively advocate for the future of their businesses and the lodging industry as a whole.

The Wisconsin Women in Lodging (WWIL) is proud to launch the pilot phase of our new WWIL Mentorship Program, a statewide initiative designed to foster professional growth, leadership development, and peer connection among women in Wisconsin’s lodging industry.

Wisconsin Women in Lodging (WWIL) is taking action for a great cause! In 2025, WWIL members will join together for a series of fundraising walks that support women, families, and communities throughout Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin Women in Lodging were represented at this year’s ForWard Conference, which took place from May 5-7, 2025, in Atlanta. Monica Goeke, CAE, VP of WHLA, and Lynn Ketterhagen, GM of Lake Lawn Resort and WWIL Steering Committee leader, joined 900 women and allies to experience this dynamic lodging industry event. The conference featured inspiring speakers, interactive sessions, and valuable networking opportunities, empowering attendees to continue their leadership journeys.
