Celebrating Excellence: Kristina Bailey Honored with WHLA’s 2025 Spirit of Hospitality Award

​The Wisconsin Hotel & Lodging Association (WHLA) proudly recognizes Kristina Bailey, Assistant General Manager at Holiday Inn Madison at the American Center, as one of the 2025 Spirit of Hospitality Award recipients.

Kristina is known for her proactive leadership and commitment to exceeding guest expectations. In 2024, she stepped up as Acting General Manager during a change of ownership, guiding her team through the transition, improving hotel operations, and maintaining high guest satisfaction. Her generosity and willingness to share her knowledge have created a culture where both guests and colleagues feel valued.

“Kristina is known for her commitment to anticipating and exceeding the needs of every guest,” said Amy Boston, who presented the award on behalf of WHLA during the 2025 WHLA Awards Luncheon on September 11 at Hotel Retlaw in Fond du Lac. “Her leadership has directly contributed to improved Guest Love scores and created an environment where guests and team members alike feel cared for.”

As a Spirit of Hospitality Award recipient, Kristina was honored in front of industry peers for her dedication, mentorship, and positive influence within her property and the broader Wisconsin hospitality community.

The Spirit of Hospitality Awards are part of WHLA’s Stars of the Industry program, which celebrates individuals and properties that define excellence in Wisconsin’s lodging community.
