Celebrating Excellence: Tyler Townsend Honored with WHLA’s 2025 Spirit of Hospitality Award

​The Wisconsin Hotel & Lodging Association (WHLA) proudly recognizes Tyler Townsend, Operations Manager at The Stella Hotel and Ballroom in Kenosha, as one of the 2025 Spirit of Hospitality Award recipients.

Tyler has been a valued member of The Stella team for over six years, holding roles across multiple departments including Banquets, Engineering, and the Rooms Division. Known for his versatility, positive attitude, and mentorship, he consistently supports his team and ensures smooth daily operations. Beyond his work at the hotel, Tyler also serves as a newly elected alderman in Racine and contributes to several volunteer organizations, demonstrating his dedication to the broader community.

“Tyler goes above and beyond to support his team, mentor colleagues, and ensure smooth daily operations,” said Amy Boston, who presented the award on behalf of WHLA during the 2025 WHLA Awards Luncheon on September 11 at Hotel Retlaw in Fond du Lac.

As a Spirit of Hospitality Award recipient, Tyler was honored in front of industry peers for his leadership, adaptability, and commitment to professional growth, leaving a lasting impact on both his property and Wisconsin hospitality.
