The Association Coordinator position encompasses a range of responsibilities, including administrative support, marketing and communications, event logistics, and member services. Angelica will work closely with our team to help us deliver even more value to our members across Wisconsin’s lodging industry.
Originally from Chicago, IL, Angelica spent the last 11 years on the East Coast, obtaining her undergraduate degree in 2017 and going on to work in Media & Entertainment. Angelica received her B.S. in Business Administration with a double concentration in Marketing and Management and a minor in PR and Journalism from Seton Hall University in New Jersey. After graduating, she spent her early career working in Manhattan for media companies like A+E Networks and Sony Pictures Entertainment. Angelica and her husband found a unique opportunity to move to Wisconsin for a year in 2023. After returning “home” to New York in 2024, they quickly realized that Wisconsin was where they were meant to be. Angelica said goodbye to the global industry in 2023 and has joined the WHLA as the new Association Coordinator! To help members get to know her better, Angelica answered a few fun questions about her background and interests. Do you have any hobbies or activities you’re passionate about outside of work?
“Yes! I enjoy practicing Yoga and recently completed my first 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. I also enjoy dance, photography, reading, and am a big fan of the movie theater experience.”
Have you ever worked in hospitality?
“In a professional capacity, no. Although I have been a member of front-of-house teams in restaurants as a Host and Server.”
What’s one thing you’re hoping to learn or accomplish in your first few months here?
“I’m excited to learn more about the hospitality and tourism industry in Wisconsin and get to know the properties and professionals that make up the WHLA.”
Wisconsin bucket list?
“So many places are on my bucket list! Door County, Lake Geneva, and Green Bay to name a few.”
