To better meet traveler expectations and maintain steady occupancy, the team decided to install combination heating and cooling units in the Bunkhouse, Oak, Pine, and Birch Cabins.

Strategic Investment for Year-Round Appeal

Rather than opting for cooling-only units, the ranch chose combination heating/cooling systems. This choice brought long-term benefits:

• Extended season: Cabins can now remain open for 9–10 months of the year.

The project was financed by selling a portion of the ranch’s land, allowing Spur of the Moment Ranch to pay in cash and avoid long-term debt.
