Committees You Can Join:

WHLA offers a variety of committees and task forces, each focusing on key areas that shape the hospitality industry in Wisconsin. Here’s a look at the open committees you can join:

   Contribute to the planning of the Wisconsin Lodging Conference and Trade Show, and help ensure that WHLA’s educational offerings are impactful and meet the needs of the industry.

   Help shape the content of the Wisconsin Lodging Directory, InnTouch Magazine, and other WHLA publications. As a member, you’ll provide insights into publication goals and help curate engaging content.
   
   
4. Legislative/Tourism Committee
   Advocate for the lodging industry by working with WHLA staff and lobbyists to monitor, analyze, and recommend positions on new legislation that could impact our industry.
   
   
5. Workforce Development Task Force
   Explore opportunities to build the next generation of hospitality professionals by partnering with Wisconsin high schools, colleges, and trade schools to create future workforce pathways.

Time Commitment & Meetings:

Each committee requires a varying level of involvement, generally ranging from 4 to 12 hours per year. Committee meetings are typically held as needed throughout the year and may vary in frequency depending on the committee’s priorities. Some committees, like the Legislative/Tourism Committee, may require additional time for special events or advocacy efforts.
