Magnuson has dedicated his professional career to the hotel and lodging industry. His career began with Renaissance Hotels and led to Marcus Hotels & Resorts, where he held various leadership positions. In 1998, he became an area vice president and played a crucial role in launching Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark and Orange Lake Vacation Club in Lake Geneva. Magnuson's most recent role was Managing Director at Grand Geneva Resort & Spa and Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark, where he focused on elevating hospitality standards and guest experiences. Additionally, he has been influential in mentoring and developing talent within the industry. Throughout his career, Magnuson has been recognized for his contributions to the hospitality sector. His dedication to professional development and industry standards has helped shape the careers of countless individuals within the field.

The Wisconsin Lodging Hall of Fame, established in 2021, honors industry leaders and pioneers who have made substantial contributions to the lodging industry and the WHLA. Magnuson's induction into this prestigious group is a testament to his lasting impact and dedication to the hospitality profession. The induction ceremony will take place during the WHLA Awards Luncheon on September 30, 2024, at American Family Field in Milwaukee. Mr. Magnuson will join Richard Batley and A.
