By: Mia Smith, Communications Intern “Letting Go to Grow: Systems for Effective Delegation and Accountability.”This session focused on the how-to of delegation in a hospitality setting. We were joined by our outstanding panelists, Katie Neufeld (The Journeyman Hotel), Danica Potier (Marcus Hotels), Krissy Sigmud (Chula Vista Resort), and Mary Anne Ceraso-Alito (Spectrum Business). The panelists shared strategies for delegating tasks without micromanaging, setting clear expectations, and creating accountability systems that empower staff rather than overwhelm them. Following the discussion, past WHLA Board Chairs and current WHLA Board Members, as well as our select event sponsors, were treated to dinner at Kegal’s Inn. The evening was filled with networking, meaningful conversations, and opportunities to learn from one another. A special thank you to all who joined, as well as the wonderful panelists who gave valuable insight and an opportunity for others in the hospitality industry to learn. Thank you Hilton Milwaukee for hosting and providing a beautiful venue as well as amazing service.
