Wisconsin Women in Lodging Make Waves at the 2024 Wisconsin Lodging Conference & Trade Show with Successful Fundraiser

​The Wisconsin Women in Lodging (WWIL) made a remarkable mark at the 2024 Wisconsin Lodging Conference & Trade Show, held from November 3 to 5 at Kalahari Resorts in Wisconsin Dells. Their impactful fundraising initiative raised vital funds for Career Development Scholarships and highlighted the group’s commitment to empowering future leaders.

Cork Pull Fundraiser

The cork pull fundraiser was a highlight of the event, taking place in the WWIL Lounge at the Trade Show. Steinhafels Commercial Interiors generously provided the furniture for the lounge, creating a welcoming atmosphere for participants.

Key Outcomes

• 76 bottles of wine were "won" by participants. 
• Total funds raised: $765 for Career Development Scholarships.

Wine Donors

​Members of the Wisconsin Women in Lodging Steering Committee and the WHLA Board of Directors generously donated wine for the cork pull. We extend our gratitude to our wine donors: Sara Abbott, Mary Anne Ceraso-Alioto, Kathi Kilgore, Lynette Knutson, Jon Jossart, Rory Madsen, Krissy Sigmund, and Angela Wolf.

Volunteer Contributions

The WWIL's Cork Crew effectively coordinated the cork pull, while the members of the WWIL Steering Committee managed the booth to ensure the fundraiser operated seamlessly. We sincerely thank the following volunteers for their significant contributions: Mary Anne Ceraso-Alioto, Jen Yakimicki Guimond, Kathi Kilgore, Lynette Knutson, Katie Neufeld, Krissy Sigmund, and Angela Wolf.

Additional Giveaways

WWIL donors also participated in a special giveaway, which added excitement to the event. Five lucky winners received gift certificates for lodging or dining and a special gift from the group.
