Entry deadline extended: August 7, 2025 at 11:59 pm
WHLA lodging member properties may submit up to two photos featuring indoor or outdoor locations at their Wisconsin lodging property. No identifying signage is allowed. High-resolution print-quality versions must be submitted at the time of entry. No exceptions.
Late photo submissions will not be considered
All photo entries will be submitted to a third-party for first-round judging, where 16 finalists will be chosen with no more than one finalist image from any one property. The past three years of cover contest winners (2025, 2024, and 2023 pictured above) are not eligible to participate in the 2026 Contest. Bonus: If your property isn't selected as a finalist, your entry fee can be reallocated to your membership renewal, future marketing, and more!

Promotion
The 16 finalists will each have a preliminary 2026 Lodging Directory cover designed and displayed at WisconsinLodging.org/cover-contest for two months. The traveling public will be able to vote for their favorite cover on the page. Each finalist will also be featured in a special edition of the WisconsINN Getaways email newsletter, sent to approximately 13,000 subscribers. Additionally, finalists will be promoted via WHLA's Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram accounts throughout the voting period, and finalists are encouraged to promote the contest through their own social media channels.

Fees, Terms, & Conditions
By submitting a photo to the Website & Cover Contest, you are agreeing to pay the $549 promotional fee. If you choose to pay later, you will be sent an invoice upon entry. If payment is not received or arrangements made, the property's image will be disqualified. In the event your photos are not selected as one of the 16 Finalists, your $549 fee will be re-applied towards your WHLA membership renewal and/or future promotional marketing, or a refund may be requested.
The Website & Cover Contest Finalist that is chosen as a winner must renew its WHLA membership by the date of membership-year expiration to be eligible to be featured. If a property wins the Website & Cover Contest, but chooses not to renew membership, it will be disqualified, and the second place finalist will be named the winner. WHLA reserves the right to refuse any photo submission for any reason. No additional fees will be charged to the winner to appear on the website & Lodging Directory cover. The property will be identified on the table of contents page within the publication.
WHLA reserves the right to modify promotions based on market conditions.
The Website & Cover Contest Finalist that is chosen as a winner must renew its WHLA membership by the date of membership-year expiration to be eligible to be featured. If a property wins the Website & Cover Contest, but chooses not to renew membership, it will be disqualified, and the second place finalist will be named the winner.
