Wisconsin Women in Lodging
The Wisconsin Women in Lodging (WWIL) is a female-based organization, a chapter of WHLA, and a state affiliate of the American Hotel & Lodging Association. WWIL gives female hoteliers and their allies the opportunity to connect with industry leaders, gain career momentum and be inspired to continue contributing to the Wisconsin lodging industry!
Established in 2013 by Amy K. Simchak, WWIL membership continues to grow, now boasting over 200 members.
WWIL membership is free to anyone employed at a WHLA member property, company, or chamber/CVB, as well as students and instructors at member colleges and universities. Membership includes invitations to WWIL events, inclusion in WHLA communication, and use of the WWIL logo.

WWIL Career Development Scholarships
Amplify Award - $2,000The WWIL Amplify Award is a merit based scholarship for emerging leaders at WHLA member hotel and lodging properties who are looking to further their education in the industry.
The award is intended to service growth for hospitality career paths, and can be used to take continuing education courses, industry certifications, and skills-specific courses. |
"Moxie Award" - $1,000The WWIL Moxie Award is a merit based scholarship for hospitality industry employees that exude the definition of “moxie” within their organization.
The award money can be used for expanding network opportunities, leadership skills, advocacy involvement, and the continuation and promotion of women-led leadership within their communities and professional networks. |
Eligibility
Candidates must be employed at a company in membership with WHLA.
Nominations
Managers, coworkers, or industry peers are welcome to nominate candidates for this award. Self nominations are accepted and encouraged.
