Winter Recreation, Photography Contest, Valentine’s Day Recommendations
“There’s much more to Sheboygan than bratwurst!” says Blue Harbor Resort General Manager, William Rees. “Sheboygan’s thriving and diverse restaurant scene, multi-disciplined arts community, plentiful outdoor activities, and natural beauty on the shore of Lake Michigan remarkably combine to create a vibrant community.”
The concept for Lake Life Sheboygan was developed to provide the guests of Blue Harbor Resort information about things to see and do in Sheboygan during their stay, but the content will appeal to a local audience as well. This issue’s Local Spotlight features Andrew Jakus of Rev Board Shop and EOS Surf Shop, a day trip to SoLu Estate Winery, and a feature on Sheboygan County Warming Center, as well as various cool winter events. In the Winter issue, Lake Life Sheboygan also launched a photography contest for images that seasonally showcase Sheboygan. There will be five seasonal campaigns (Spring, Summer, Fall, Holiday, and Winter), so participants are encouraged to submit photography during the appropriate season. Lake Life Sheboygan is currently accepting entries from those eighteen years of age or older for the Spring Campaign through February 22, 2024. One winner will be selected during each campaign to have their photography featured in an issue of Lake Life Sheboygan. Submissions are being accepted online at blueharborresort.com/photography-contest. Blue Harbor Resort also unveils their plans for Valentine’s Day in this issue featuring a Valentine Dinner Menu in The Beacon Restaurant with choice of Rosemary Baked Brie or Lemon Pistachio Salad as a starter and Pork Osso Bucco or Tuscan Salmon for entrée. Guests are encouraged to make it a romantic weekend with the Valentines Romance Package including overnight accommodations, dinner for two, and a Romance Package for the guest room. The Valentine menu and special package are available the weekend before (Friday, February 9th and Saturday, 10th), on Valentine’s Day (Wednesday, February 14th), as well as the weekend following (Friday, February 16th and Saturday, February 17th).
