Volunteering with WHLA is a great way to connect with other lodging industry professionals from around the state while helping our organization into the future. Volunteer roles include serving on committees along with some “one time” options. We have restructured our committee meeting format to mainly be online calls to people from all over the state to participate.
Committee members must be a member of WHLA in good standing. Committee members have the overall responsibility of supporting the WHLA Board of Directors and carrying out the committee charges as set forth by the Board.

One-time / Other Volunteer Opportunities
As a welcome wagon volunteer, we will ask you to contact a new member or two shortly after they join to introduce yourself and check in with them. We'll make sure you have all of the necessary info and talking points for a great conversation!
We'll contact you when we have regional or statewide events that we may need assistance with (helping at the registration table, etc.)
Hosting a Lodging Industry Update
This is for people who would like to host an event where we can talk about the work WHLA is doing and the health of the lodging industry in Wisconsin. Volunteers will be asked to coordinate space and invite local hoteliers to the event.
