Prior to the start of Lodging Innsights Fox Cities, the Wisconsin Women in Lodging held a luncheon that featured a panel discussion - “Empowering Future Leaders in Lodging”. WWIL Steering Committee Chair Krissy Sigmund (Chula Vista Resort) welcomed the group and participated as a panelists with Katie Neufeld (Kimpton Journeyman Hotel) and Sara Abbott (Metropolis Resort). WHLA Vice President Monica Goeke, CAE served as moderator for the panel.

Tech Innovations the Lodging World Needs to Know About
In a world of innovation, it’s hard to stay up to date with the technological trends that are helping to shape the lodging industry. During this session, some of the top innovators in hospitality presented technology products and services. Speakers for this session were Kelly Clemens (Hoffman Security Solutions) and William Mansfield (On Track Technology Solutions).
Legal Lab: Solving Real-World Legal Challenges in the Hotel and Lodging Industry
Attorney Robert Sanders (Next Gen Legal/Taylor English) facilitated this interactive session which allowed attendees to share experiences and discuss practical strategies to tackle scenarios ranging from data breaches and AI mishaps to privacy invasions and digital-age harassment. After exploring real-word crises in small groups, Sanders led a full-group discussion turning complex legal situations into manageable solutions.
Elevating Tourism: A Collaborative Conversation with State and Local Leaders
The final session of the event placed highlighted state and local leaders in the Fox Cities and their instrumental role in tourism promotion. Pam Seidl, Executive Director, Fox Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau moderated this panel discussion featuring Amy Albright, Executive Director, Oshkosh Convention & Visitors Bureau, Senator Dan Feyen, and Neenah Mayor Jane B. Lang.
Evening Events
Following a full afternoon of education, attendees came together at for a reception sponsored by the Fox Cities Chamber & Visitors Bureau, followed by dinner. Conversation and drinks were plentiful, and past WHLA Chair and retired Fox Cities hotelier Dan Schetter was in attendance for the evening.
