Herbert Kohler Jr. to be inducted into the Wisconsin Lodging Hall of Fame

The Wisconsin Hotel & Lodging Association (WHLA) has announced that Herbert Kohler Jr. will be honored as an inductee into the Wisconsin Lodging Hall of Fame. Mr. Kohler will be recognized during the WHLA Awards Luncheon on October 2 at Lambeau Field’s Johnsonville Tailgate Village.

“Kohler Co. is honored to learn that Herbert V. Kohler, Jr., is being inducted into the Wisconsin Lodging Hall of Fame. Our company’s hospitality business was Herb’s bold creation and passion, and he was proud to have developed Kohler’s luxury resort portfolio with lodging, golf, spa, wellness, and culinary experiences in his home state of Wisconsin. He convinced skeptical business colleagues to transform The American Club – originally built as an immigrant workers’ dormitory in 1918 – into a five-star hotel and spa, and he paved the way for Wisconsin to be a bucket list global golf destination with the creation of his championship golf courses at Blackwolf Run and Whistling Straits. His objective was to always create memorable experiences for his guests, and he took immense joy in witnessing their delight.” David Kohler, Chair & CEO – Kohler Co.

We’re honored to recognize him as a member of the Wisconsin Lodging Hall of Fame.” 

The Wisconsin Lodging Hall of Fame recognizes industry leaders and pioneers who have contributed significantly to Wisconsin's lodging industry and the Wisconsin Hotel & Lodging Association. Mr. Kohler will be one of three individuals inducted this year, the others will be announced in the near future.
