Introducing the WHLA Educator of the Year Award

WHLA is excited to announce the Educator of the Year Award which will be presented for the first time in 2023. This new award will be presented to an exemplary education professional in Wisconsin who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to preparing students for success in the hospitality industry by providing high-quality learning opportunities and pathways for career success. 

The award was proposed by the WHLA Awards Committee and approved by the WHLA Executive Committee, and will be presented during the Awards Dinner and Live Auction on November 7 at the Holiday Inn Stevens Point. In addition to special recognition at the awards ceremony, the winner will receive a plaque and two full passes to the Wisconsin Lodging Conference & Trade Show.

Educator of the Year Award Nominations

Submit a nomination

• Anyone may nominate this award: teacher, parent, colleague, friend, student, etc.
• Self-nominations are permitted and encouraged.
• Qualifying nominees will then be invited to complete an official award entry form.

Eligibility:

Any educational organization offering a hospitality related class or program. Hospitality related programs include:

• Baking & Decorative Arts 
• Culinary Arts / Culinary Management
• Event Management / Event Planning
• Hotel, Restaurant, Tourism Management
• Hospitality Assistant 
• Hospitality and Event Management
• Hospitality Management
• Hospitality Specialist
• Lodging and Hospitality Management
