Kristina McConnell, Aimbridge Hospitality, recognized by WHLA as the 2023 Corporate Champion of the Year

​​WHLA has honored hotelier Kristina McConnell from Aimbridge Hospitality with the Corporate Champion of the Year Award. This award recognizes a key management individual who owns or operates lodging properties in Wisconsin for their high level of achievements. The award was presented during dinner at the 2023 Wisconsin Lodging Conference & Trade Show on November 6 at the Holiday Inn Stevens Point Convention Center.

Kristina McConnell is the Regional Director of Sales for Aimbridge Hospitality. A leader within her company, she was recently selected to be a market leader for the greater Wisconsin/Chicago market. McConnell is also in charge of gaining and maintaining Aimbridge Women Excelling events through connection and mentorship. Additionally, she was selected to be on a transition committee for the Select Service Division and appointed to a second term on the Aimbridge Topline Council. 

Outside of her work at Aimbridge, Kristina shares her time and talents with the WHLA as an active member of the Wisconsin Women in Lodging. In addition to her committee service, she has been a speaker on many industry panels, and brought a plethora of new women into both Wisconsin Women in Lodging and the Wisconsin Hotel & Lodging Association.

Kristina has also been instrumental in helping with growing our WHLA lodging membership. In the past year, she enrolled nine Aimbridge properties in Wisconsin into membership with WHLA. All of the properties had never been engaged with our organization previously, and are now actively involved.

The award was presented by 2022 Corporate Champion Jay Schumerth, First Hospitality.
