WHLA’s Lodging Innsights Receives ISHA Award of Excellence for Outstanding Member Programs

​The Wisconsin Hotel & Lodging Association (WHLA) was recognized by the International Society of Hotel Associations (ISHA) with an Award of Excellence for Outstanding Member Programs for its Lodging Innsights events. The award is presented annually to one partner state association that has created a program or project that shows performance results through increases in members or retention of members.

Lodging Innsights is a live event program that was launched in January 2023 to bring education and networking opportunities to members across the state. Each quarter WHLA leadership and members gather at a different member hotel or lodging property for an afternoon of education followed by dinner and an evening reception. The Lodging Innsights events provided new opportunities for members to learn about issues impacting their business and engage with the association.

WHLA’s President & CEO Bill Elliott, CAE accepted the award on behalf of the team during ISHA’s Winter Conference in Amelia Island, Florida. He said, “WHLA takes great pride in connecting lodging professionals in every corner of our state.  We educate our members about trends, best practices, and advocacy issues that affect the lodging industry through many different vehicles, and Lodging Innsights has proven to be an effective program that provides many opportunities for member education and engagement.”

The ISHA Awards of Excellence recognizes those lodging associations that have had exceptional programs in the areas of Communications, Events and Fundraising, Government Affairs, Member Programs, and Public Relations over the past year.

ISHA presents the annual Awards of Excellence for the best lodging association programs and services and are widely recognized as the best of the best within the hotel and lodging association industry representing innovation and creativity that has brought tangible results to the association and its members. Award winners receive complimentary registration to a future ISHA Conference.
